
Monetising the Wisdom of the Crowds, Crowdsourcing seems to be a new idea promoted by Cambrian House, details of which I first got to know through this blog post.
Cambrian House explains how it works. Of course, the underlying assumption here is that the end-product, as a result of having gone through a developmental cycle from concept to design that involves more than a few elites, is inherently better than a comparable product created in a more closed process.
I don’t think that this is always going to be the case, but Crowdsourcing is nevertheless a fascinating idea worth keeping tabs on.
