Heavily indebted to Blogs in a Nutshell by Bill Warters, I recently created a PowerPoint presentation to teach those with little or no knowledge of blogging how to do so, particularly aiming at journalists for whom blogging presents both unique opportunities and challenges. The examples of the blogs used in this presentation are from Sri Lanka, where there is an explosion in the growth and use of blogs (albeit primarily in English) for a variety of purposes – from community radio podcasts to anti-corruption.
