World Radio Switzerland addresses ICT4Peace and Crisis Information Management (CiM)

Last Thursday (13 May), World Radio Switzerland interviewed Daniel Stauffacher, Chairman of the ICT4Peace Foundation on the use of ICTs in peacebuilding as well as in crisis information management (CiM), such as that designed for and deployed in post-earthquake Haiti earlier this year. World Radio Switzerland is part of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation, Switzerland’s national public broadcaster.

Download the 10 minute interview as a MP3 file here.

I co-authored Haiti and Beyond: Getting it Right in Crisis Information Management for the ICT4Peace Foundation, and also created the Haiti Earthquake – January 2010 wiki, which I continue to curate to date.

I’m really curious how the future of these new decision management systems will look like. It seems that the beneficial input of organizations like ICT4Peace still is badly needed to make the best use of the available information tools.
Thanks for your dedication and good luck!
